Pedro Porro new long-term deal with Tottenham Hotspur; It will be valid till 2031

26-year-old right-back Pedro Porro has extended his contract with Tottenham on a long-term basis. Poro, who is with Spain's squad for the 2026 World Cup, prepares for their group opener against Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday.
Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro has signed a new long-term deal. It is understood to be in place until 2031, although the club has not officially revealed the deadline.
The 26-year-old Poro still has two years left on his contract when he joined on a permanent transfer from Sporting CP in the summer of 2023. Tottenham made his loan deal permanent in January 2023 for around £40m that summer.
Poro has played 152 matches for Spurs so far. That includes 47 appearances last season alone — the most of any player in Roberto de Zerbi's side.

"He has progressed enormously over the last three-and-a-half years to become one of the best full-backs in the game and the fact that he is going to play for Spain at the World Cup is testament to that," said Spurs sporting director Johan Lange. "His personality, hard-working ethic, skill — these are the qualities we want to build a team that can compete at the highest level. We are delighted that he has chosen to continue his journey with the club."
Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "I like his mentality as well as his technical skills. His desire to work, learn and improve every day takes him to the highest level. He understands football very intelligently; he brings energy, intensity and personality to the team."
Poro is currently with the Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup. Spain open the group stage against Cape Verde in Atlanta on Monday (5:00pm UK time).
